Ok, Now here is where things start to get interesting, Who in there right mind would think of stuffing a Quad Cam Twin Turbo 24V 2L V6 into a Lancer Coupe......well me...are here are some pics to proove it.

Latest update 16/10/02
Now that I have my turbo, it is time to start mouting the turbo, and fabricating a new plunum for the new 3.5l magna throttle body, here are some pics of the progress so far.
Here is the turbo sitting in the engine bay to give you an idea of where the turbo will be mounted and the size of the damn thing!

Here are a few shots of the throttly body mounted on a bracket I have made up to "dummy fit" the TB while I make the new plenum for the motor.

Update 14/01/03 Here are some pics of the work I got done over the christmas break, I did not get as much done as I wanted to, but a lack of funds cut things a little short. All the work I have done myself, the plenem is constracted from 1/2" plate, 1/4" plate and 1.6mm sheet. The 1/2" plate was drilled and then ported out using 2 hole saws, 2 different bits in my die grinder and then finished off with a sanding flap wheel, there is 2 days solid work just in the flange plate itself. The cooler pipe from the TB to the cooler has also been finished, it just needs to be welded together. The cooler plumbing is 3" 316 grade stainless from the TB to the cooler, and will be 2.5" from the turbo to the cooler.

Update 04/03/03 Here are some pics of my cooler, now complete with end tanks. The parts have been TIG welded together by a mate of mine (AKA: DOOM). There are 9 seperate parts in the inlet tank (LHS) and 5 parts in the outlet tank. The mounts for the cooler and the rest of the plenum will be welded up tonight.

Update 05/03/03 Here are some pics of the plenum now fully welded up and ready to be linished back and polished.

Latest Update 09/04/03
Here are some pics of the cooler now mounted to the car, the inlet 3" 316 stainless pipe fitted and ready to be polished, and the plenumem on its way to being polished as well.

Here are some pics of the type of car this motor comes from for those of you who have never seen one bofore. (this includes me!). The car is a 93-95 Gallant VR-4 (Japan only), the motor is a 6A12 24 Valve Quad Cam Twin Turbo 2L V6 with a variable inlet system (which will be ditched on my motor in favor of a custon plenum). We actually get the same motor in our late model Gallants, non turbo of corse. (ie: Slow)

Would you belive this car sold for $1500AUD at a Japanese aution yard.
